This page explains what personal data I collect through vaw.be, why I use it, and how you can ask me to change or delete it.
Who runs this site
vaw.be is run by Wim Van Aerschot for Garmin apps, watchfaces, Garmin School content, feature requests, and watch comparison tools.
What I collect
If you join Garmin School, vote on feature requests, request email verification, or subscribe to updates, I collect your email address and, when you provide it, your first name.
When you are recognized as a member, I may save basic activity such as article views, compare tool usage, selected watches, feature request votes, and buy-link clicks. I use this to understand what content and tools are useful.
If you contact me directly, I use the information in your message to reply.
How I use your data
I use your data to give you access to member content, send updates you asked for, manage feature requests and votes, improve the site, and protect the site from abuse.
Your email address
I do not sell, rent, or share your email address with other companies for their own marketing.
I only use your email address for the services you requested. Service providers may process it for me to run hosting, email delivery, and the database, but they are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from email updates at any time through the unsubscribe link in an email.
You can also ask me to access, correct, or delete the personal data I hold about you.
How long I keep data
I keep member and subscription data for as long as it is needed to provide the service, unless you ask me to delete it sooner or I need to keep it for a valid legal reason.
External links
The site links to Garmin, Amazon, social platforms, and other external services. Those services have their own privacy policies. Some product links may be affiliate links, but your email address is not shared with them by this site.
